Ashland has developed Purekote 23589, a new coating that can be safely implemented in food packaging applications regulated by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. It is a water-based coating that provides a matte appearance and velvety feel and can be applied to paper and plastic bags, pouches, lidding films, foil bags and sachets.
