Wrap and the Advisory Committee on Packaging (ACP) have survived the latest round of government cuts announced in last month's Comprehensive Spending Review.rnWaste body Wrap was not mentioned in Defra's plans to cut costs for arms-length bodies in what had been billed as a "bonfire of the quangos" across Whitehall departments.rnA spokeswoman for Wrap said that it had not been included in Defra's plans because it operates as a not-for-profit company and a delivery body on resource efficiency the UK's central and devolved governments.
