I insist on supporting lost causes and three-legged horses on the basis that the return on the favourite is rarely exciting and, should the outsider with thernshort legs ever win, I'll be richer than the Queen and can put my feet up.rnLast month the little horse with the idi-osyncratic jockey won, big time.rnApple is now famous the world over for being the uber-technocrat. Technically advanced, culturally savvy, immensely profitable and now about to become the world's largest company - bigger than the mighty Exxon, bigger than IBM or Dell, bigger even than Wal-Mart.
