Paper and container board company Powerflute has posted an upturn in revenue. For the year ended 31 December revenues were up 16% to €150.lm. Its revenues from packaging papers increased 4% to€134.4m. However profit before tax fell to €8.6m after posting €10m in the previous year. Operating profit increased 7% to €13m. David Walton, chief finance officer at Powerflute, told Packaging News that the underlying performance of the company was very good and that it had performed well.
