A nine month Defra-funded trial into the recycling of flexible laminate packaging has been rolled out. The programme intends to assess the feasibility of including flexible laminate packaging, such as food pouches and toothpaste tubes, into existing household recycling schemes. Enval will recycle the material at its commercial demonstration facility near Huntingdon. The project is in partnership with Nestle, Coca-Cola Enterprises, Suez Environment and Anthesis LRS, which is co-ordinating the trials.
