Clondalkin Pharma and Healthcare has installed its first mass carton serialisation capability at its Cherry Orchard facility in Dublin. The international producer of high value-added packaging said the installation of the Atlantic Zeiser Digiline 300 provides its customers with asolution to one of the biggest challenges currently facing the pharmaceutical industry - the introduction of track and trace technology fornew serialisation standards. The finished cartons are fed into a coding stream that uses a printhead and UV dryer allowing fast coding speeds, while the twin Vericam camera data inspection system verifies application. This facilitates application, code verification to the master data and readability. An automated rejection process is also included.
