Tough trading conditions in the US have contributed to a fall in profits at foils and laminates spe-cialistAPI Group. Its interim results for the six months to 30 September 2014 showed a pre-tax profit of £2.3m, down from £3.5m in the previous year. Operating profits were at £2.8m,down from £3.5moverthe same period in 2013. Revenues were slightly down to £56.4m, compared to £56.9m in the first halflastyear. Speaking to Packaging News, chiefexecutiveAndrewTurner said that the downturn in the US foils business had impacted the results.
