Bobst Group is to acquire 65% of Nuova Gidue, the Italian narrow and web press manufacturer, for an undisclosed fee. It is understood that Bobst will have the option to purchase the remaining shares. Nuova Gidue provides automated narrow and mid-web in-line flexographic and offset presses for the self-adhesive labels industry and short-run products for packaging converters. With the technologies ofNuova Gidue, Bobst will extend its range of printing and converting products. The purchase confirms its strategy of expansion in labels.
