As consumer awareness surrounding gut health continues on an upward trajectory, so does the demand and desire for food and drink that is actually good for us. It is somewhat fitting then that in order to tap into a modern, growing market, coconut-based health food company Rhythm turned to inspiration that is more than 2,000 yearsold. Rhythm is pitched as the first non-dairy Kefir culture probiotic drink, a beverage that has the aforementioned cultures at the heart of the product. Kefir cultures are believed to have originated from the Caucasus mountain region with its lactic acid bacteria flora historically of benefit to human digestion.
