Packaging and outsourcing group Bunzl has acquired the business of WK Thomas, a distributor of foodservice products in the catering and airline sectors.rnSurrey-based WK Thomas, part of the King UK group, had been in administration along with the rest of the group.rnBunzl has also acquired the business of Industrial Supplies, also part of the King UK group.rnBunzl chief executive Michael Roney said: "This transaction demonstrates our ability to take advantage of appropriate opportunities as they arise in what is a particularly tough environment in the UK and Ireland."
