A joint venture between European industrial packaging manufacturers Mauser International and Reyde has won approval from the European Commission.rnThe joint venture is for the production and sale of intermediate bulk containers (IBCs).rnMauser will also sell the assets of its plastic drum business in the south of France to Reyde. In a statement, the Commission said that the arrangement would not "significantly impede effective competition in the European EconomicArea".rnMauser is part of the Mauser group, controlled by Dubai Holding, and produces and supplies rigid industrial packaging. It has operations in 32 countries, including a site in Littleborough, Lancashire in the UK.
