Nichols, the soft drinks and dispensing firm, has acquired 50% of aseptic bag-in-box filler Dayla Liquid Packing for ￡2.8m, with a further ￡lm deferred until December 2009.rnNichols, the firm behind the fruit cordial Vimto, has the option of buying the remaining 50% in 2011 or 2012.rnThe company said the investment would enable it to capitalise on opportunities both in the UK and overseas and allow it direct access to the growing premium juice market.rnIt added Ian Jenkins would remain as managing director of Dayla throughout the option period.rnJenkins said: "The Nichols investment shows its strong commitment to developing Dayla's unique position in the drinks dispense market. This move is very exciting for Dayla, after working closely with Nichols for many years.
