Wood packaging chiefs have spoken out against a proposed rule change that would require all packs transported within the EU to be heat-treated.rnThe European Commission has proposed the extension to ISPM 15, the international standard for the treatment of wood packs, following Portugal's unsuccessful attempts to contain the nema-tode forest pest after its discovery in wooden crates in Sweden.
