No Surely this is missing the point a bit. We need to be intelligent and aim to rnreduce packaging, not just brush it under the carpet with schemes that don't solve the problem. Retailers should be encouraging and inspiring suppliers to reduce packaging, not just giving them another option for disposal. In order to control the problem of waste and our addiction to disposable culture, we should all remember: the three 'r's are reduce, reuse and recycle, in that order. The point is not to think of other ways to continue to consume and then make unnecessary waste without the guilt of taking it home.
