Alupro has started a new campaign to get more local authorities to collect aerosols and aluminium foil for recycling after it discovered consumers felt let down by the availability of services. Only 39% of consumers thought they could recycle aerosols, even though 67% of authorities currently collect it. 60% take foil in their kerb-side collections. The first phase of the plan, which begins this month, is to discuss the opportunities for reprocessing with waste management companies and local authorities.
