Self-adhesive label firm Mactac Europe has launched Mactab Biodegradable for label converters and packaging firms that require a biodegradable roll label stock.rnThe label is a white wood-free elemental chlorine-free (ECF) paper coated with MP 198 acrylic emulsion adhesive.rnThis biodegradable construction complies with ISO 14855, the standard that determines the ultimate aerobic biodegradability of plastic materials under controlled composting conditions.rnThe firm said it also complies with EN 13432, the European compostable standard, if the label represents less than 1% of the total packaging weight.
