In 2011 Dale Deacon, commercial director at label firm Watermill Press in Yorkshire, was part of a yacht crew that circumnavigated the UK, raising in excess of £10,000 for the Overgate Hospice in Calderdale. Deacon is heading back to the water in July this year with two friends, this time facing a different challenge, as he tries to raise money for the MS Society. Along with Mike Burton (managing director of AB Graphics) and Tom Salt (British Telecom), Deacon will row from Whitehaven marina in Cumbria, across to the coast of the Isle Of Man and back again.
