A new lightweight beer bottle was showcased by Beatson Clark at Food & Drink Expo in Birmingham last month. The 500ml tapered amber beer bottle can also be manufactured in white flint and weighs just 285g. Beatson Clark's Marketing Director Lynn Sidebottom commented: "This is an exciting development for Beatson Clark and one we think will be very popular with the brewing industry. "The bottle is available from stock and has a standard crown neck finish suitable for beers, ales or ciders. It will also be interchangeable with an MCA finish to make it suitable for soft drinks." This design is the first tapered beer bottle in Beatson Clark's general sale range.
