Gnb Industrial Power (UK) Ltd, a subsidiary of Exide Technologies, is to move to new premises in Horwich, Bolton. GNB says the move puts it in a strong position to provide its customers with "a total power solution". The new facility will be shared with Exide's transportation business, while still remaining two separate subsidiaries of Exide Technologies. The existing Trafford Park facility will handle both divisions' logistics as well as battery assembly for GNB. "GNB Industrial Power has had the capability of providing power for all applications for some time -not only motive power but also standby power and renewable energy applications, as well as diesel starting batteries," explained Nigel Darke, managing director of GNB Industrial Power.
