Well that's it - I'm off! There comes a point in every play where one must take a final bow, step behind the curtain and slip off to the local Thespian's Arms for a celebration before commencing 'resting'. I am off to invade -sorry, I mean retire to - France. I plan to take back the bits stolen from Henry V by the French one manoir at a time while eating all their cheese and drinking all their wine. I plan to learn dreadful French and write even worse books that no one wants to read but me. Sad, I know. By the time you read this I will have already said farewell to the Mews, scene of many a triumph and perhaps one or two apoplectic fits, and waved goodbye to all my friends and colleagues who have suffered long enough.
