Kevin Vyse has quit his position as vice chairman of the Packaging Society and gone public over concern that the organisation is suffering from being part of the Institute of Materials, Minerals andMining (IOM3). Vyse said that he could no longer reconcile the way the Packaging Society works within the IOM3 organisation and exclusively told Packaging News that the Society was "hampered by its relationship with the IOM~3 board and the associated bureaucracy".
