British Polythene Industries is closing its film manufacturing facility in Brampton, Cumbria with the loss of 39 jobs.rnIn an interim trading statement last month, the firm said it was looking to close the plant after margins had significantly deteriorated in 2009 due to lower volumes.rn"Redundancy consultations have commenced with employees and every effort will be made to find alternative employment either within or outside BPI," the firm said.
