摘要

In Japanese market, new containers for wine such as paper packs, single-layer PET bottles, bottle cans and barrier PET bottles appeared one after another in addition to conventional glass bottles. In order to market a new PET bottle for wine, thorough examination was conducted to make sure that 1)good quality of wine is maintained, 2) no odor of container is detected, 3) users feel comfortable with gripping, 4) containers can be applied to a variety of wines, and 5) they are easy to fit to any production lines and easy to recycle etc. As a result, we have released to the market a variety of products that can keep quality of wine as perfectly as the glass bottles can. We will continue to supply wine in various types of containers to meet consumer's demands.%従来から「ワイン=ガラスびん」のィメージがあるが，紙パックワインと並んでPETボトル入りワインも近年店頭で多く目にするようになつてきた。手にしてみるまで，あるいは開栓するまでPETボトルと気がつかない外観の製品も多くなつてきた。家庭用のハイバリアPETボトル入りワインの製品化までの経緯と将来展望について述べてみる。
