To cope with the rising environmental concems, Sony Corporation and Rengo Co. have devel- oped a recyclable cushioning material, “ CELLU-MOLD” made of recycle fiber (waste paper) and biodegradable binder, as a substitute for expanded polystyrene form. Special features of “CELLU-MOLD” are the followings: 1. Easy to design for any type of products 2. Can be produced in molding process 3. Low energy consumption in manufacturing process 4. No environmental pollution 5. Recyclable and easy to dispose The basic properties of material and its application fOr mini tower personal computer package are shown in this report.
