The necessary standards for labeling of packaged foods for sale in Japan are estab- lished under the provision of food sanitation law, on the standardilization and quality labeling of agricultural and forestry products, Law concerning with nutrition etc. Also, Products liablity law is engaged in the matter from the viewpoint of safety. Basically, the quality labeling and indication of safety use of the products are re- aured. The examples of labeling are shown in Figures 1 to 4 in the text.
