Some aspects on the new materials for packaging material will be discussed as a gen- eral remarks of this "SPECIAL EDITON". Some new materials (such as polyethyle- nenaphthalate (PEN), acrylonitrile copolymer (PAN), new polyethylene polymerized by metallocen catalyst, cyclic olefin copolymers (COC), expanded polycarbonate (E- FC) and expanded polyethyleneterepthalate (E-PET), have been applying for the food packaging industry, pharmaceutical industry of packaging for industrial products.
