The market is demanding flexibility and tailored diversity. Coincidentally, one of the first customers was well-known chocolate manufacturer Lindt, a company that frequently offers special varieties and unusual packaging. "The new Delta SPC 130 FlexLine printing press allows us to react quickly and optimally support our customers' market launches and relaunches," explained Karl Pucher, Managing Director of Rondo St. Ruprecht in an interview with apr. "Digital printing allows us to offer special seasonal products, special editions, or individual packaging for wine or other consumer goods as well as POS displays in the highest quality," said Pucher. The ink system developed by Durst Water Technology is a technological milestone and meets all stringent environmental and recycling requirements within the EU, according to the manufacturer. The four-color print results are high-quality, odorless, abrasion-resistant, light-fast, and they are produced in a single printing step. This means that pre-treat-ment, intermediate drying, and overcoating can be omitted during production. No wonder the technology was already recognized with the environmental award by the European Federation of the Corrugated Board Industry (FEFCO). The printing speed reaches up to 120 ml min, the maximum format is 1300 × 2100 mm, corrugated cardboard profiles F to BC can be printed, and the material must have a thickness of at least 1.1 mm and no more than 7.0 mm. No additional coating needs to be applied as the paint is scratch-resistant.
