How long have you been working in libraries?nI have been working in libraries for approximately 36 years in various positions.nWhat was your first library job?nMy very first library job was working for the St. James School Division, at LincolnnElementary School in Winnipeg, as a Library Technician.nDescribe your first library job.nI was hired by the school division just before I graduated from the LibrarynTechnology program at Red River College in 1973. I felt very fortunate to havenbeen offered the position at Lincoln Elementary School, as my first library job. Asna Library Technician, I worked very hard that first year learning the routine of thenlibrary and becoming familiar with all the children and staff. Some of my basicnduties were charging out books, processing books, shelving, arranging bookndisplays and monitoring classes when they came into the library
