Hevea brasiliensis is propagated by grafting buds on rootstocks. Rootstock plants are obtained by germinating open pollinated seeds collected from the fields. Hence, the rootstocks may be polymprhic whereas the scion will be of a known superior clonal source. The objective of this study were to observed the change in the bark protein banding patterns among the scions, the bark anatomy of the union that may arise from stock- scion interaction, and its relation with the genetic similarities among the stock-scion plants geno- type
