摘要

Regardless of whether it is the organization of an important social event or the delivery of a large-scale technical project, the project manager has to stimulate and maintain team cohesion. This is intrinsically demanding and stressful and integration becomes more challenging when a variety of cultures and nationalities are involved. The primary challenge arises because the project team (sponsors, stakeholders, workforce, community etc.) may extract different meanings from verbal and non-verbal messages and gestures delivered as part of the communication process. This issue is worthy of careful consideration in a project management context.
