摘要

The paper reports on theoretical and experimental studies which demonstrate that crack propagation in solids in brittle and brittle-ductile fracture is a nonlinear wave process. The effect of the structural phase state and stress-strain stiffness of material on the crack type (opening, sliding, or tearing mode) and on the character of wave fracture is described.
