Single-photon entanglement provides a valuable resource for quantum communication and quantum repeaters.nHowever, single-photon entanglement is sensitive to photon loss. In this Brief Report, we show that a noiselessnlinear amplifier is an efficient tool for protecting single-photon entanglement. The performance of ideal noiselessnlinear amplification as well as the nonideal amplification with on-off detectors and heralded single photons arenalso investigated.
