Companies will often need to draw elements from standards, schemes and best practices in other industries, regions and regulatory jurisdictions, which is why they often reach out to third-party risk experts with global networks such as Lloyd's Register. Applied and developed correctly, the benefits of an effective SMS outweigh the costs.
