2013 marks Gulf Interstate Engineering's (Gulf) 60th anniversary. It's been a long, bumpy and very exciting adventure - managing projects that are the first, the largest and the longest across the world and persevering through the ups and downs of this industry. Today, the company is stronger, wiser and ready to take on the challenges that lie ahead. Founded in 1953 to finance, design, construct, own and operate a 1,150 mile natural gas transmission system from Louisiana to Kentucky; Gulf, today has designed more than 100,000 miles of pipeline and installed pump and compressor stations with more than 5 million horsepower. Based in Houston, Texas, Gulf provides quality project management, engineering and design, GIS, procurement and construction management services to the worldwide oil and gas industry.
