A new meter prover is on the market and caught the eye of the measurement industry at the recent 2008 International School of Hydrocarbon Measurement (ISHM) in Oklahoma City, OK.rnAlex Ignatian left Calibron Systems in May 2007, shortly after the company was purchased by Enraf and became Enraf-Calibron. Pete Diaz left Enraf-Calibron in January 2008 shortly after it was purchased by Honeywell and became Honeywell-Enraf.rnThe two entrepreneurs decided to go into business together after considering the market opportunities they felt were available for a new generation of small volume prover - or "Unidirectional Captive Displacement Prover" as API defines it. After months of design and prototyping efforts, Ignatian, as managing director, and Diaz, as director of operations, introduced their new company, Flow Measurement Devices, LLC based in Phoenix, AZ. In May, the new company unveiled its prover at ISHM.
