In addition to this agreement, APS has also been awarded two multi-year contracts for the rehabilitation of subsea hydrocarbon pipelines using the IFL system. The contracts, collectively valued at approximately US$150 million, will see APS use its IFL system to rehabilitate near-end-of-life pipelines, allowing PETRONAS to avoid mounting large-scale replacement campaigns. The rehab projects will cover crude oil gathering, high pressure gas and condensate pipelines that vary in length from 700 m up to 3.5-km and have diameters of 6-10 inches. Project work will be executed throughout 2016 and the start of 2017, with additional rehabilitation contract awards anticipated for project work in 2017-18.
