Based on the outstanding success of the previous regional project, several scientists will apply adapted technology packages to improve the so-called 'neglected crops', which in fact are important for food supply and as income generation means for the populations in adverse and marginal regions of the Andes: high altitudes, remoteness and degraded soils.
