Publicly owned power and water utilities are not disclosing nenough about the potential risks of rising water scarcity, warned nenvironmental group Ceres Thursday in a new report.n In “The Ripple Effect: Water Risk in the Municipal Bond nMarket” report, Ceres, accounting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers nand Water Asset Management said that “few participants in the nbond market — including investors, bond rating agencies and nthe utilities themselves — are accounting for growing water nscarcity, legal conflicts and other threats in their analyses.” n PwC developed what was labeled a “first of its kind model” nto evaluate water scarcity risks. The report was written by nSharlene Leurig, Ceres senior manager for insurance programs.
