About 11 years after PacifiCorp Energy reached a multi-party nsettlement to decommission rather than relicense its 14.7-MW nhydropower project in Washington, the utility has obtained one nof three water permits and certificates necessary to move ahead nwith removal of the facilities.nThe Washington Department of Ecology on October n12 issued a water quality certification to PacifiCorp, which nallows the company to seek a dredge and fill permit from the nArmy Corps of Engineers and a storm water permit from the nWashington ecology department to remove the Condit Dam nproject from the White Salmon River in Klickitat County.
