A November ballot measure that would boost California's renewable mandate to 50% of generated electricity by 2025 is striking a chord with voters, despite contributions by investor-owned utilities totaling about $24 million to an opposition campaign. According to a July 22 poll commissioned by Field Research, 63% of likely California voters back the measure. At the same time, the poll found that only 18% of voters said they were aware of the ballot measure.
