Portland General Electric is seeking comments on a draft request for proposals for 410 MW it will need to meet growing demand. The Public Utility Commission is expected to approve the draft by March 11. PGE plans to issue a final RFP March 18 with responses due April 18. In the RFP, the utility is seeking 192 MW from power purchase contracts and other resources for six to 10-year terms. It also is seeking 218 MW of renewables, including wind, solar, wave energy, biomass and geothermal.
