Duke Energy Chairman, President and CEO Jim Rogers said last week that he hoped that the company would be able to settle the federal lawsuit involving violations of the Clean Air Act's new source review requirements at upgraded coal-fired units as a result of the Supreme Court decision against the utility. Speaking at a US Energy Association media briefing in Washington, Rogers also discussed his views on climate change legislation, his $15 billion company's efforts to promote energy efficiency as another energy- supply, and plans to expand nuclear power.
