Reflecting the growing interest in "clean coal" technologies, the Wyoming Infrastructure Authority issued a request for proposals last week seeking a co-developer for an integrated coal gasification combined-cycle power plant. The WIA, a state agency based in Cheyenne, Wyoming, wants to form a public-private partnership to develop an IGCC demonstration project in Wyoming that would be eligible for federal funding, the RFP said.
