The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission gave Snohomish Public Utility District last week what the utility called a great victory in its years-long battle with Enron-debacle fallout. But Enron, although it has been in bankruptcy for more than four years, is not letting the victory go unchallenged. FERC said Snohomish does not have to pay Enron the $116.8 million contract termination fee that Enron has demanded for the utility's decision to abrogate a contract it signed with the marketer early in 2001.
