A first WindFloat Atlantic turbine is en route to a site 20 km (12.4 miles)off the Portuguese coast October 21, consortium WindPlus said.The 25-MW Windfloat Atlantic project is being carried out by theWindplus consortium, made up of EDP Renewables (54.4%), Engie(25%), Repsol (19.4%) and Principle Power (1.2%).A first unit, featuring the world’s largest offshore wind turbine on afloating platform, has departed for its final destination off thePortuguese coast at Viana do Castelo.
