The price corridor would comprise a floor and a cap price, the floorallowing EDF to cover costs while the cap would protect consumers, theeconomy and environment ministries said in a consultation document. The mechanism would replace the current Eur42/MWh ARENH rate, which applies to 100 TWh/year of EDF’s nuclear generation. Floor andceiling prices would be fixed “using a transparent methodology andimplemented under the control of the energy market regulator CRE,”the ministries said.
