Spain’s grid operator REE and regulator CNMC held a crisis meeting lastweek to discuss the current glut of solar PV and wind connectionapplications, a source involved told S&P Global Platts January 21.The source, who asked not to be named, said the two parties heldtechnical talks last week on how the situation could be eased,confirming a report in La Informacion newspaper.The meeting was convened following 132 official complaints to theCNMC from developers who have had grid connection applicationsrejected by REE.
