Five bidders have been shortlisted in the UK’s latest OffshoreTransmission Owner tender valued at £2.7 billion to connect some2.5 GW of offshore wind capacity, UK energy regulator Ofgem saidApril 12.The three links being tendered are to connect the Beatrice(588 MW), Hornsea One (1.2 GW) and East Anglia One (714 MW)wind farms.“The shortlist demonstrates there continues to be strongcompetition to own and operate the links, helping to keep costs low forconsumers,” Ofgem said.
