France has pre-selected six bidders for the 1 GW Normandy offshore wind tender, with strong representation across the European utility and oil sectors, the energy ministry said April 26. Based on their technical and financial capabilities, the following companies/consortiums were pre-selected: 1. EDF Renouvelables and Maple Power, a joint venture of Enbridge and CPPIB; 2. Iberdrola Renovables France; 3. Ocean Winds (a joint venture of Engie and EDPR); 4. Shell; 5. A consortium formed by Total and RWE; 6. A consortium formed by Vattenfall, wpd and Banque des Territoires.
