Dniproenergo, the country's largest thermal power generating company, enjoyed a highly profitable 2007, according to full-year results, released in late February. Net income rose 1,108% to $24.1 million from just $2 million in 2006, and EBITDA rose by 41% to $79.6 million from $56.3 million the year before implying a net margin of 3.2% (up 2.8 percentage points) and an EBITDA margin of 10.5% (up 0.3pp).rnNet sales increased 38% to $758 million last year from $551.2 million in 2006, thanks to a 12% increase in the volume of electricity sold (15,278 GWh) and a 23% increase in its tariffs from $0.0396/kWh to $0.0486/kWh, which more than compensated for cost increases.rnDniproenergo, meanwhile, announced plans to invest $80 million this year in the rehabilitation of itsrngenerating assets.
